These words from Alek Wek express exactly how we think and feel. We are grateful for all the good things in our lives, especially our loved ones and our loyal and valued clients. In this festive season, we wanted to share our gratitude in a unique way through our clients and spread joy and generosity in the world. After all, who needs another box of gourmet coffee, or wine, chocolate, and cheese baskets? Well, ok, we must admit we wouldn’t turn that down. But most of us don’t need more stuff.
So, instead of physical gifts for our clients this holiday season, we found a unique way to give back to those less fortunate, and pay tribute to our clients, as well. We sent a holiday themed email giving our clients the choice of three of our favorite charities: Global Fund for Women, World Central Kitchen, and World Resources Institue.
Global Fund for Women is a global champion for the human rights of women and girls that provides support to networks, organizations, and movements working towards gender and racial justice and equality.
World Central Kitchen is first to the frontlines, providing meals in response to humanitarian, climate, and community crises. We build resilient food systems with locally led solutions.
World Resources Institute uses research-based approaches to work globally and in focus countries to meet people’s essential needs; to protect and restore nature; and to stabilize the climate and build more resilient communities.
When someone clicked on their chosen charity from the email, a beautiful holiday video from TPG appeared thanking them for their donation. The response from our clients was incredible! TPG honored our clients by donating to the charities of their choice. They expressed that it felt amazing to click the button to give back.
Most of our lives and our families are safe and secure. For many, however, the holidays can be a lonely, stressful, and difficult time. This is the perfect time of year to give back to the community in ways that make a real impact. We are proud of our clients who stepped up to provide comfort to those less fortunate and brighten the lives of people around the world. And we were happy to be a part of it. As it turns out, inspiring hope for the holidays is the best gift of all!
As for the coffee, wine, chocolate, and cheese? Who needs the extra pounds?
